Queensland businesses secure multimillion dollar deals.
Three Queensland Government-assisted companies have secured international business deals valued at $7.25 million over the next five years.
The good news was announced last night at the Australian Technology Showcase (ATS) Business Development Summit at St Lucia.
Parliamentary Secretary for Employment and Economic Development Jan Jarratt congratulated ATS members KFSU from Cairns and Brisbane-based companies Grabba International and Synengco.
At the summit, KFSU was named 2009 ATS Rising Star, while Brisbane IT company Grabba International was acknowledged as ATS Member of the Year.
Ms Jarratt said the ATS was part of the State Government’s commitment to providing opportunities for innovative Queensland companies.
We want to help more companies like these to promote their services and products and get ahead in today’s competitive global marketplace she said.
Commercial Scale Production starts
Kfibre is the first known commercial sugarcane fibre ingredient onto the market and orders have already been placed by large Japanese companies. Commercial scale production of Kfibre will commence late 2009.
Japanese Import Award
KFSU’s KFibre won an Australian Imports Award for innovation at the Austrade Japan Imports awards in Fukuoka (March 2007). The Kfibre products were showcased at an elaborate banquet, featuring in every dish from seafood mousse to desserts.
